(HBC) is a non profit organization that provides support and educational empowerment to teen parents during pregnancy through childbirth. Houston Birthing Connection has been in existence since 2006.

1. Child Birth Education Classes to every teenage mother:
Getting off to a good start class -workshop.
How to tell if your baby is getting enough seminar.
Immediate postpartum procedures for Mom class.
Postpartum adjustment class.
Immediate postpartum for baby seminar.
Newborn characteristics, procedures and practices to consider seminar.
Parenting - the joys and challenges support group.
2.Labor & Delivery Birthing Plan Class
3.Doula services (Mothering the Mother) during Labor & Delivery
4.Group discussion on benefits of breastfeeding support group
5.Referrals to local resources for financial, nutritional, childcare, housing or health care needs.
6.Abstinence Purity Ball
7.HIV preventions Seminar
8.Career Development/Job Training
How - Workshops, Seminars, Curriculums, Health Fairs.
Where- Schools, Community Centers, Churches.
When - 2 times a month.
Who - At risk teenage parents.
Objectives:
- To empower teenage mother's to make positive choices in her life as a new mother.
- To educate teen mother's on life, leadership and parenting skills.
- To provide a consistent positive female role model.
- To inform the teenage mother's on exploring a positive career path.
- To encourage personal responsibility and accountability for the mother and her baby.
- 6.To provide doula service during labor and delivery.
- To inform the teenage mother's on exploring a positive career path.
